The production of Guillaume Coquillart brought him fame among the audience and the writers. He is quoted by Clément Marot alongside Villon, Jean Molinet and Jean Le Maire.
He is considered as the creator of the theatrical monologue.
Modern critics are very interested by Coquillart.
This edition is the best of all (Viollet-le-Duc).
