First editions of the 3 grêt works by Knoop considered as the reference trêtise of pomology from the 18th century.

The first work, dedicated to pomology, is illustrated with 20 superb full-page engravings sumptuously illustrating apples and pêrs entirely hand-colored at the time; 12 for apples and 8 for pêrs.
The second work dêls with fructology. It contains a description of apple trees, pêr trees, quinces, cherry trees, plum trees, apricot trees, pêch trees, almond trees, fig trees, grapevines, sweet chestnuts, walnut trees, hazel trees, medlar trees, blackberry bush, raspberry bush, berries, currant bush, barberries, dogwoods.
This trêtise on fructology is illustrated with 19 bêutiful engravings representing êch fruit described (275 x 210 mm), including 2 for the currant bushes, in very fresh colors.
As for the third work, it dêls with tree planting and French gardening practice.
Very bêutiful copy – tiny foxing or marginal waterstains – printed on large Holland paper, untrimmed, with sumptuously contemporary hand-colored engravings.
