Superb handwritten and illuminated antiphonary executed in 1740.

The leaves enclose from 2 to 4 staves of 4 lines separated by a space for the sung text.

Each page is illustrated with a frame composed of three fillets painted in red and green with blue paint fleurons enhanced with gold on the corners and on the sides.

Besides the work is illustrated with many painted and illuminated initials.

The antiphonary is preserved in its precious contemporary embroidered binding decorated as follows: rich and large frame embroidered with silver thread on the covers, monogram “CC” embroidered with silver thread in the corners, (unidentified) coat of arms in the center in embroidered silk, composed of one cut escutcheon with 1 silver with an eagle, with 2 azure with two hands holding a silver ring.

Rare specimen of illuminated handwritten antiphonary preserved in its contemporary binding embroidered with silver thread and emblazoned.
