As October draws to a close, we’re delighted to bring to your attention a fascinating book about Parisian bookshops. With its 626 bookshops, the city is a true book capital, which the author sets out to reveal through vivid profiles.
Composed of captivating articles written by book specialists and enhanced by numerous photographs, the book covers both the history of these sometimes century-old bookshops and the personality and spirit of each establishment. Organized by arrondissement, explore the diversity of these institutions, without which Paris would lose part of its very special soul.
More than just a book about bookshops, it represents all the bookish places in Paris: from literary cafés to secondhand booksellers and the most secret places, discover the full extent of the Parisian literary world.
As part of the production of his book, we had the pleasure of welcoming the author to 93 rue de Seine to take some photos, and to talk about the business and particularities of our bookshop. Our warmest thanks to Alexis Margowski for his work and for his interest in our bookshop.
Mille librairies. Mille livres…” – Alexis Margowski
